How to submit your original song for review

Artists can only submit one song, and the song must be original – no cover songs are allowed. You cannot submit a song that has been released on iTunes, Spotify, or similar platforms. If your song was only shared for promotional purposes on SoundCloud, YouTube, or other similar social media, you can submit it. But keep in mind that if you are chosen to participate, you will need to delete all posts with the song.

If your song has more than one songwriter or producer, you must include the name of each on your request. Co-authors do not have to appear on the show with the artist, but they must grant the necessary rights if the song is selected. If you’ve written a song but don’t want to perform it on the show, you can still apply, but you’ll need to find a singer or band to perform it.

If you are part of a duo or trio, you must submit your song to one artist account only. The competition prefers fully produced songs, but demos are also accepted. Video submissions cannot be uploaded directly to the site – only links to view or download the video will be accepted. There is also a video recording option which will give you up to five minutes to perform your song.
