Jennifer Lopez Performs New Song at American Music Awards

Jennifer Lopez gave the first performance of her new song “On My Way” at the American Music Awards.

JLo was dazzled by singing the track from her upcoming romantic comedy film, “Marry Me”, which will be released on Valentine’s Day (02/14/22).

Lopez started out wearing a black suit jacket, before walking behind a screen showing clips from the film and swapping out her ensemble for a blush Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress.

The first performance of the evening was by Silk Sonic – made up of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak – who did a rendition of ‘Smokin’ Out the Window ‘, sporting red leisure suits, perfectly matching the retro vibes of the song.

Olivia Rodrigo touched everyone with an acoustic performance of “Traitor” surrounded by a floral background, wearing a simple pink dress and natural makeup, letting the lyrics speak.

The singer – who released her debut album “Sour” earlier this year – also won the title of New Artist of the Year.

Mickey Guyton was next after the uncertainty it would happen after his son Grayson fell with a bug in his stomach that briefly put him in the ICU. However, he is on the mend, leading his mother to present a powerful performance of her song “All American”, which moved everyone to a standing ovation.

Boy groups New Kids on the Block and New Edition have gathered on stage for the first time for a face-to-face with the greatest hits.

New Kids On the Block kicked off with an excerpt from their hit “The Right Stuff” – featuring “Step by Step” and “Mr Telephone Man” – and New Edition followed suit with “Candy Girl” before to get together for ‘Is this the end’ and ‘Please don’t go Girl’.

BTS ended the night with a stunning performance of their hit song “Butter” in matching gold costumes, to really hammer home the big winners of the night.

They had previously joined Coldplay for the first live performance of their hit song “My Universe”.

Cardi B hosted the Starry Night at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (11/21/21).
