Many talented Latinos have emerged in the film and music industries this year. In fact, the seven ‘names to watch’ listed below had such a great year 2021, riding that wave of momentum from this year to 2022 should be something they all are focused on.

From a Puerto Rican actress who played an iconic role in revising a classic film to a Chilean-American musical artist who released her first solo album, the abilities displayed by these stars over the past 12 months prove that their potential is limitless.

In 2022, these names will certainly have more creativity to share with the industries they have embraced and with the world. No one knows how this coming year finally prove, but if this is even a fraction of the success of subsequent artists this year, there will be no looking back for them.

Ariana DeBose
