Rob Zombie invites fans to help create a music video for “American Band”
Rob Zombie plans to premiere a new music video for the track “American Band” soon, but the horror rock icon isn’t stopping all at once. Just like Uncle Sam in wartime, Rob Zombie wants you to lend a hand for America! Just create your own music video, and if Rob Zombie likes it enough, your creation might get an official release!
Zombie’s latest album, “Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor”, was released earlier this year to positive response. The track “Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Supertown” was accompanied by a music video, followed by Rob Zombie’s cover of Grand Funk Railroad’s “We’re an American Band” for the visual treatment.
Rob Zombie reached out to fans via his official website and ShareTheVenom.com, encouraging creative listeners to be a part of Zombie’s long history:
Calling all American rockers, we want singers, bands, cheerleaders, athletes, hard working, hard drinking, hard rocking people! Send us videos of you rocking out to Rob Zombie’s “American Band” cover.
Your submission may well end up in a special fan version of the video that will be created by Rob Zombie. To enter, post your Americana-inspired video on YouTube with the title “ROB ZOMBIE AMERICAN BAND FAN VIDEO”, then go to http://sharethevenom.com/ and submit your entry using the form on the site. We can’t wait to see what you submit, so GET STARTED NOW!
Important Note: Racy videos may be blocked on YouTube so they can be uploaded directly to the sharethevenom.com website. There is no direct closing date, but please understand that the submission method can be closed arbitrarily (so submit your submissions now, not later!). This is open to Rob Zombie fans around the world.
As Zombie states, there is no hard deadline for video submissions, so send them as soon as possible!
