The 2022 Latin American Music Awards will be broadcast live on Telemundo on April 21 in Las Vegas – Tejano Nation

Miami, Florida — The 7th edition of Latin American Music Awards will take place on Thursday, April 21 at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Latin AMAs will be broadcast live on Telemundo starting at 7/6c with the red carpet pre-show followed at 8/7c by the three-hour awards show. The star-studded event will honor today’s most influential and iconic Latin artists, as voted for by music fans in the tradition of the American Music Awards, the largest fan-voted awards show in the world. Nominees for the coveted event will be announced on Thursday, March 3, 2022.

“Over the past few years, we’ve seen a huge increase in the popularity of Latin music that has pushed it into the mainstream, so we’re thrilled to bring Latin AMAs to Las Vegas for the first time and to provide our global audience with top-notch production to showcase their favorite artists,” said Ronald DayPresident, Entertainment and Content for Telemundo.

The Latin AMAs will celebrate the best of Latin music and feature electrifying musical performances. Unlike last year, there will be an in-person hearing following all necessary health and safety protocols. Last year’s edition of the Latin AMAs featured 20 live performances by Ana Barbara, Carrie Underwood, Maluma, Prince Royceand Ricky Martin, among others, reaching a cumulative audience of 3.3 million total viewers. The winners of the famous ceremony included Bad Bunny, Karol G, Nicky Minaj, Christian Nodal, Prince Royce, and Shakira. The show set a record with 42.4 million engagements across digital, social and TV platforms, and was the most social program of the day across all TV channels.
